First you’ll have to turn off the central heating boiler. This can be done by pulling the plug out of the socket or pressing the on/off button.
The next move is to empty the radiator. You can do this by rotating the drain tap a quarter turn, which should let the water out. You shouldn’t unscrew the tap entirely or water will squirt in all directions.
The next step should be to detach the radiator from the pipe so you can remove it. Loosen and remove the nuts above and below the radiator.
Make sure the radiator is supported (for example by putting your knee against it) and then remove the screws which secure the radiator to the wall. More advanced radiators are attached to the wall with brackets. In such cases, you simply slide the radiator off the pipe and lift it right off the brackets.
