Removing a bathtub

  • Step 1

    First remove the bathtub tap. Saw the tap loose and disassemble it.

  • Step 2

    Now you’ll have to cut loose the sealant along the edge of the bathtub. Now loosen the screw in the middle of the bathtub drain, and remove the ring and the gasket.

  • Step 3

    To prevent the bathtub from flooding, a bathtub overflow has been fitted into place. Make sure you remove this overflow before taking out the tub.

  • Step 4

    Loosen the bathtub by moving it back and forth in all directions, using some force. Then you’ll be able to lift it off. Make sure to do the lifting with at least two people.
